Community Hubs - Park Library
A new place for information, advice, support and connection.
We’ve opened something new in Park Library.
Park Library in Cavendish Square is home to a new community Hub – a welcoming space where you can get advice, guidance and support in one place.
No appointments. A chance to get your questions answered straight away. Just real people, ready to listen and help.
What is a Community Hub?
A Community Hub means local access to information and support as well as a great space to connect with others.
It brings together council teams, partner organisations and community groups under one roof, so it’s easier to get help early – whether that’s for you, your children, your family or someone you care about.
We want hubs to feel:
Welcoming
Easy to use
Joined up
Rooted in the local community
And we want to shape them with you.
What will be available at Park Library & Community Hub?
Over time, alongside the library, we’re working towards the hub offering:
A drop-in space where you can speak to Swindon Borough Council officers who can help you navigate services and find the right information, advice or support
Citizens Advice for welfare guidance and practical financial support
Youth work sessions delivered with Young Swindon and Wiltshire
Employment and skills advice
Housing and homelessness prevention support
Space for partners such as police and health colleagues to meet residents
You don’t need to know which service you need. Just start the conversation with us.
Why Park South?
Park Library sits at the heart of Cavendish Square, close to shops, schools, a pharmacy and GP surgery.
We’re starting here because we want to test and learn. Park Library and Community Hub will be our first prototype hub. That means we’ll shape it, try things, listen carefully and improve as we go.
Your feedback will directly influence how this hub develops and how future hubs across Swindon take shape.
